6. G.SKILL Trident Z RGB – Best RGB

One of the Best RGB DDR4 RAM options available, in my opinion, G.SKILL’s TridentZ RGB kits are the best options.

And this is mainly due to the fact that, unlike some other RGB kits, the TridentZ’s RGB lights extend across the entire stick, allowing you to see a full range of colors.

In comparison, Corsair’s Vengeance RGB memory places the standard Vengeance heat sink on the RGB light above the stick and so you don’t get a full range of colors.

And, while you could argue that this is a petty way of concluding that G.SKILL has the best RGB ram, the point is that you are spending a lot more to get RGB lights and so I guess anyone who wants to look at these kits will want to show as many colors as possible.

7. Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 – Best High-Speed

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4

This Corsair Vengeance LPX is our favorite Best High-Speed DDR4 RAM, although we admit it doesn’t look like it.

Corsair’s memory modules are clad in solid aluminum single-slat heatsinks, and they’re also unobtrusive – so these DIMMs are some of the smallest I’ve ever seen.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. The lack of RGB LEDs means there’s more room in the budget to make memory faster, and the smaller design means it’ll be easier to install bulky cooling hardware without memory getting in the way.

This type of design certainly goes against the current trend of big memory sticks with lots of lighting, but I’m happy to forgo RGB LEDs if that means my memory is faster and more reliable.

Corsair’s kit is designed around performance rather than aesthetic features, so it’s no surprise to see it run at 3200 MHz – one of the highest speeds in this bunch.

Elsewhere, the latency comes in at 16-18-18-36, and the kit is available in white, blue, or red variations to match your machine.

The decision to focus on speed rather than performance has paid off. The Corsair’s single-threaded bandwidth of 15.45 Gb / s is one of the best here, and its overall latency result of 28.9 ns comes first, with the Team Group Night Hawk RGB kit.

Corsair memory provided the best results of the high-end group in single-threaded and multithreaded cache bandwidth benchmarks, and its Cinebench multicore score of 2194cb is the best of any high-end kits in this group.

Its Geekbench results were barely behind the Team Group kit, but better than my other three high-end picks. His 3DMark: Fire Strike score of 6817 was fine and better than Night Hawk’s memory.

The Corsair kit delivered a Ghost Recon average of 37.26 fps. It’s right in the middle of the high-end group.

Other kits in this bunch are a bit faster, but they tend to be slower in many other benchmarks – and so, for overall performance, that’s not good.

Corsair’s kit isn’t just fast – it’s consistent, too.

Its theoretical results are often the best of the high-end bunch, and no other expensive kit can deliver the balance and speed that Corsair has served through testing real-world apps and games.

It might not have attractive RGB LEDs or other eye-catching features, but it’s the best kit when it comes to high-end speed and performance.

  • Solid performance for the price
  • Available in a wide selection of capacities and speeds
  • Should work with virtually any motherboard
  • The design is too aggressive
  • Does not have a capacity greater than 32 GB

Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB

Designed for high-quality Intel 100 series versions, the Corsair Dominator Platinum lives up to its title.

This 16GB Best DDR4 RAM For Ryzen Owners comes with kits extending capacity up to 64GB.

In addition, it features handcrafted integrated circuits and patented DHX cooling that provides efficient and reliable cooling in heavy-duty situations. most demanding overclocking models.

Built-in XMP-2.0 support offers automatic configuration for seamless, trouble-free overclocking. Featuring a subtle white LED light bar that can be upgraded to other more advanced lighting systems.

Additionally, the Corsair Dominator Platinum passes tests on multiple Intel 100 series motherboards for fast performance and reliability that you won’t find in many other products in this review.

This Corsair Link lets you control the airflow with this RAM module, keeping things cool while allowing maximum overclocking headroom.

With Corsair Link, you can control the fan speed on your desktop and use one of 16.8 million colors to show you when the going is hot in your rig.

In addition, the Corsair Dominator Platinum features operating frequencies of up to 3200 MHz. However, this premium RAM product comes with a hefty price tag to boot.

  • Each LED of each strip is individually customizable
  • Low latency time
  • General power was restored by the kit
  • Price a bit high due to the quality of the components

Things to Consider Before Making a Purchase

Crucial Ballistix RGB Ram

If you’re thinking about upgrading your computer’s memory, there are a few things to consider before making a purchase. Here are some things to keep in mind:

When shopping for DDR4 RAM, make sure to consider the socket type your motherboard uses. Not all DDR4 memory modules are compatible with all sockets. A few popular socket types include LGA1151, LGA1155, and LGA1156.

If you’re looking to buy DDR4 memory for a new gaming PC build, be sure to research the compatibility of your chosen memory module with your motherboard before making a purchase. Some incompatible combinations can result in degraded performance or even crashes.

Frequency, Latency & Timings

DDR4 RAM is the latest memory technology to hit the market. It offers a lot of benefits over DDR3 RAM, including higher frequency and lower latency. But how do you know if DDR4 RAM is right for your system?

First, consider the frequency. DDR4 RAM runs at 2133 MHz or above. This is a big increase over 1600 MHz on DDR3 RAM and allows for faster data access.

Next, consider the latency. DDR4 RAM runs at 8 Gbps or below. This means that your data will be transferred across the memory bus much more quickly than with DDR3 RAM running at 10 Gbps or above.

Finally, factor in timings. Most systems need timing parameters like CL15 (15-16-17-18-19) for dual channel operation and CAS Latency of 16 for best performance. These timings can vary depending on your motherboard and CPU, but it’s important to check if they’re compatible with DDR4 Ram before making a purchase

When it comes to buying DDR4 RAM, you will want to make sure that the memory is durable. This means that the pins and contacts are not going to corrode or break over time. In addition, you will want to make sure that the memory is heat-resistant so that it can handle high temperatures.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much DDR4 RAM Do I Need to Play

How Much DDR4 RAM Do I Need to Play?

With games becoming more and more demanding today, 8 GB has become the minimum recommended for a good gaming experience.

16 GB is recommended for most games and gaming PCs, as few games use more than 16 GB of RAM.

32GB should be considered if you are building or upgrading a high-end system, want to stream, or intend to perform other memory-intensive tasks outside of gaming.

One channel or two channels: which is better?

All modern processors support Dual-Channel memory. This means that there are 2 separate channels going to the CPU which can be used simultaneously.

Taking advantage of dual-channel support means that you will effectively double your bandwidth compared to a single channel. It is always advisable to run at least 2 sticks of DDR4 RAM whenever possible.

Intel vs AMD, how do DDR4 memory speeds affect performance?

Intel vs AMD

AMD Ryzen processors love fast, low latency memory. The difference between 2400 MHz and 3200 MHz can be 10% or more, with the even lower performance of 1% and 0.1% (the lowest FPS you encounter, or dips, which can affect smoothness if they are too weak).

For 1st and 2nd gen Ryzen processors, the sweet spot is around 3000 to 3200 MHz. The latest 3rd gen Ryzen chips can benefit from plug-and-play performance improvements up to 3600 MHz thanks to an improved Infinity Fabric allowing higher clocks.

But that’s not to say that faster RAM on Intel processors doesn’t have any advantages either.

While overall FPS averages may not see as significant an improvement when switching to faster memory than on Ryzen, even going from 2666MHz to 3200MHz can give more than 10% improvement over 1% and 0, 1%. Make the gameplay noticeably smoother.

DDR4 vs. DDR3?

DDR4 is faster than DDR3, offering higher frequencies, greater capacities per key, and more bandwidth.

DDR4 is more power-efficient than DDR3. Less voltage required means less heat and less stress on the memory controller.

Which ddr4 RAM is best?

When it comes to getting the best RAM for your computer, there are many options out in the market.

But if you want fast speeds and compatibility with recent technology such as DDR4 modules – then go with Corsair’s Vengeance RGB Pro memory chips which can boost up an increase of system performance by hair-trigger margins!
