On July 16, 2019, Ken Jeong & D’Arcy Carden have revealed the list of nominees for 71st Emmy awards. Before proceeding, I have to ask a question,” Will you see this year’s Emmy? Well, after the last year’s disappointing Emmy awards, I’m a bit Skeptical. Should I watch it or not? Besides, after an 11% decline in viewership, it’s obvious for me or you to have some doubts.

Now, if I talk about this year’s Emmy Nominations, the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones has broken the 25-year old record of NYPD Blue (26 nominations) by earning 32 nominations in a single calendar year. Emmy Awards 2019 Telecast Details

The 71st edition of annual Emmy Awards will telecast live on FOX from 5 PM Pacific Time. The event will take place in Microsoft Theatre, Los Angles. Moreover, from this year onwards, a new agreement “Wheel Rotation” is finalised between ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX. According to this deal, these 4 big networks will air the ceremony each year until 2026.

Any actor who is working in a drama or a comedy can take part in the nomination process of the Emmy awards. All they have to do is submit their name for categories like the lead actor, supporting actor before meeting the deadline.

Who decides all the nominees?

Final Nominees of Primetime Emmy are decided by 25,000 registered members of Academy. Further, these members are divided into 30 groups of different categories.

How Emmy Winners are Chosen

As I earlier told you Emmy has total 25,000 registered members. All these members are registered to vote for their favourite nominee of different categories. The deadline of casting votes in Emmy awards 2019 is Aug 27, 2019. After counting of total votes, the winner of a particular category is decided.
